Curious how? We’re happy to explain the different ways to measure your ring size!
RING SIZE MEASUREMENT OPTION 1: DETERMINE THE DIAMETER OF A WELL-FITTING RING
Do you already have a ring that fits perfectly? That’s super helpful, because it allows you to easily determine your ring size and quickly answer the question: what is my ring size?
Use a ruler or measuring tape to measure the diameter of the inside of your ring. Make sure you only measure the inner diameter — do not include the ring’s edge.
The number of millimeters you measure is your ring size! See the example below.

Don’t have a well-fitting ring? Then this trick will help you measure your ring size!
You’ll need a thin string, ribbon, or strip of paper. Make sure it’s as thin as possible to get the most accurate measurement.
Wrap the string around the finger on which you want to wear the ring. It should fit snugly against your skin, but don’t pull it too tight. Mark the point where the string overlaps or cut it where it meets the starting point.
Now measure the length of the string in millimeters — this is the circumference of your finger!
Using the ring size chart below, you can find your matching ring size.
Good to know: our collection includes rings in sizes ranging from 14 to 19, and we always use whole sizes. That’s helpful to keep in mind when checking our ring size chart.

When measuring your ring size, it’s important to keep the following points in mind. By following these tips, you can measure your ring size with great accuracy!
- Decide in advance which finger you want to wear the ring on.
Your ring size can vary from finger to finger. Even your left ring finger might not be the same size as your right one. Always measure the finger on which you plan to wear the ring! - Take temperature into account.
Your fingers expand when it’s warm and shrink when it’s cold. So, measure your finger when your hands are at a normal temperature. Want to be extra sure? Measure your ring size in the morning, afternoon, and evening — then take the average. That way, you’ll get the perfect size! - When in doubt, choose the larger size.
If you’re hesitating between two sizes, always go for the larger one. A ring that’s too tight or doesn’t fit at all is never comfortable! - Consider the width of the ring.
Love chunky or statement rings? A wider ring covers more of your finger and will sit on a broader area. That’s why we recommend choosing half a size larger for wide bands. - Consider any stones on the ring.
Going for a ring with some bling? Then be even more precise when measuring. If the ring is too loose, the stone may rotate toward the inside of your hand because of its weight. And of course, you want the stone to stay visible! - Ring sizes are the same for men and women.
Ring sizes are unisex. Men just typically need a larger size for their rings. So the methods above can be used for measuring men’s rings too — super handy!
Little fun fact: the average men’s ring size is around 20/21, while the average women’s size is about 17. But never rely solely on averages. The golden rule for finding your ring size is: measure it to know it!
